Alternative power resources

The power generated from the alternative energy sources like sun, wind, tides, water etc. is called alternative power. A main advantage of using alternative power resources is that they are freely and readily available. These resources are renewable and are continuously replenished by nature. The alternative power resources have no adverse affects on the environment as they do not cause pollution. Alternative power resources do not release toxins and any type of harmful particles into the environment. They do not contribute to global warming in any way.

There are a number of alternative power resources that can be used to generate alternative power that can be put to many uses.

Solar power is one of the most important and widely used alternative power resources that can be easily harnessed. Solar power can be used for heating water, for generating electricity and for running or powering vehicles.

Biomass power is an alternative energy source that can be obtained from decomposed remains of animals and plants and can be used for generating less expensive power for homes or cars.

Wind power as an alternative power resource is very viable for the purpose of generating electricity. This electricity can be used for powering homes or industries.

Another common and popular alternative energy source is hydro electric power is that can be used to generate electricity by using the energy present in running water.

Alternative power resources can be used efficiently for the sustainable growth of a nation. The alternative power sources are reliable and less costly as compared to other sources of energy.
